My petition to get the starcraft editor linked on the left side "games" navigation on this website.

I'm tired of going to starcraft 2 and then going to starcraft zone and then going to starcraft editor. to me, mapping is the most important thing that this website has to offer.

I love this community. I would like to see it come to life again when sc2 launches. It feels like there are so many posts on this site that navigate us to "the dudes guild" and other sites. It occurs to me that we are still working on http://starcraft2.thehelper.net/ and I would like to see that launched, but these forums are so simple and perfect for me to frequent.

who's with me?

You know, you probably could have just asked an Administrator.

It hasn't even been truly released, we are still working on projects for it. Like completely reworking the resource system and such.

Just as it has been said before, we are volunteers we have other things going on in our lives as well but we are working hard with our schedules to get stuff done.

Example of this is; I am working on two child sites (creativity and SC2; well one really now, since the PHP guys are working on SC2.Th.net) and balancing my problems with family/school life and AP classes.

You are welcome to help if you want it to go faster even though in the next upcoming weeks we should be getting a lot of stuff online because we will have more time.

Anyway on a related note;

This?
We are very welcome to suggestions and comments. No need to get a petition unless we turn you down first.

However, Thank you for being concerned with TH.net, its nice to know people actual care that we do things xD

=) not an angry petition. a happy one. ilu Miz.

You are free to petition even though it isn't necessary, just make sure you post all of the things such as links that you want to be added to the sidebar and enough people go for it or if there isn't any complaints it will probably ether be done by an Admin or be moved to the Staff forums for other discussions.

Mod Edit - Post Moved to Bugs and Features; and Title renamed to fit Forum.

So, if there's a post that's asking how to do something in the SC2 Editor, where should that post go? For me, posting that one in the SC2 Discussion Forum doesn't seem to fit...

I didn't see the StarCraft II Editor subforum, thought it was moved or hidden for some reason, and thought that, since Blizzard said that the editor is still functional even while the beta is offline, it might be useful to check up on the subforum mentioned above once in a while.

What exactly is hidden and what is a subforum in the SC2 section..?

News portal has been retired. Main page of site goes to Headline News forum now
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Easily done

  • The Helper The Helper:
https://www.thehelper.net/pages/news/ is a link to the old news portal - i will integrate it into the interface somewhere when i figure it out
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Need to try something
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hopefully this won't cause problems.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hmm
  • Ghan Ghan:
I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    See how we like that.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
  • Ghan Ghan:
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.
  • Ghan Ghan:
It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
  • The Helper The Helper:
I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
  • Ghan Ghan:
RpNation makes more use of it right now as an example: https://www.rpnation.com/news/

I will have to get used to this.
