I bet 50 bucks it's the Zerg. At least everyone uses a Zerg race once in their StarCraft II lifetime.

Terran, obviously.

Easy Race = Most Played. =]

Zerg is the hardest.

" I bet 50 bucks it's the Zerg "

Unlikely.
If you have a look at some global ranking sites...
Example, on http://www.sc2ranks.com/, of the 300+ pages only 77 are Zerg (most is Protoss, Terran the middle).

Besides, from a psychological point of view, you most likely remember best the race you have problems against.

Though, of course, some day even the heretics will have to admit that Zerg *IS" the bestest race ever :D

Gotta say mine is protoss, I've played 2 4v4 now and both had atleast 4 protoss in the game I think one had 4 protoss 3 terrain 1 zerg the other had 5 protoss 3 terrian. As far as other 2v2s and stuff go I don't remember one race being more prominent over the other races

It varies from day to day, but last time I played, I think all but one of my games were against zerg.

I think it varies between the leagues. In the top, there are slightly less zerg since they're generally considered harder to play good enough to compete with an equally competent player(on the professional level)

In the bronze/silver league, I'd guess there'd be more terrans. That's where all the people who bought the game, played the campaign and then played some ladder, playing as terran since that's the main race in the campaign.

In the middle, I think it's a little more even.

@Celerisk: Each page contains 100 users. That would mean that in those 315 pages(315,000 users) there's only 77 zerg? Somehow I doubt it.

There's about 20 zergs on the first page which would mean there are 57 zergs on the remaining 314 pages. That's like... 0.18~ zergs / page.

Anyways, that's the top players. Most people on Thehelper.net aren't top players, therefore they wont necessarily meet more terrans and protoss just because there are more terran and protoss pros.

I have faced about 70% Terran, 20 Zerg and 10% Protoss, or that's at least what it feels like.

I've found mostly Terran players, after that I would have said Protoss as the second most but last night I faced three Zerg in a row so that bought Protoss and Zerg to even second.

I used to play with zerg. Now I play with protoss. The zerg are just too... hated by Blizzard when it comes to the "Pure racial bonus"

protoss can warp in units and chrono boost. Terrans can summon up to 4 mules at a time and have aoe decloack, where as all the zerg have is a queen. The larva thing, is cool, sure, but there is no indication when the larvas are spawned, it isn't auto casting and you can have only 4 larva spawning at one hatchery at a time. Clearly this is the worst racial ability.

The protos's warp thingy requires a rather high research point and the ability takes quite a while, even if it is chronoboosted.

imo the terrans are the most played, because they require zero skill. (before wanting to kill me ask why, I don't want to write an uber long response without having asked to :D :D :D )

Sunds scary

I personally am a random player. I like playing all three races and becoming well rounded. That being said I'm not exceptional at any of them except I usually do better with Zerg than I do the other 2, but protoss is always a fun play :)

>>4 larva spawning at one hatchery at a time.

Hmm? Didn't you mention the queen? You do know it can spawn another 4(?) larva every couple of minutes or so right? You have to expand as a Zerg. Once you have 2 expos and maybe a second hatchery in your main you will be pumping out units faster than the other races can. You need queens at all your bases too. Look at the How not to play Zerg thread. :p

no no no. You get 3 larva from the hatchery + possibly 4 more from the queen (since it is not auto casting you can't make it perfect)

The maximum amount of larvas on one hatchery is 19. Inject larva stacks. Having a huge amount of larvas can be good late game to remake your entire army way faster than the opponent just after a battle.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
