Please tell me this is a very, very, very delayed April Fool's joke.

Ace was, simply put, a legend. His mere presence in any thread meant that the problem was getting fixed, one way or another. Certainly a man of few words, Ace was the most well-respected member in any forum. Sure, he was 0 tolerance, but there was a humorous side to him that was evident in some of his posts. I think a large part of his power came from the mystique that surrounded him. When a topic came around about personal achievements or info, Ace was nowhere to be seen. Making a TheHelper map? Ace vouched that he be left out of it. I've heard several rumors -- that Ace is a robot, Ace is a girl, and Ace is a group of top WE contributors.

The mystery only further deepens, as he couldn't even write his own resignation letter. I think it's even harder for him to leave than it is for all of us to see him go.

Take care, Ace. This community owes the world to you. If I were really lame, I'd put a WE pun in there somewhere.

i don't think he is gone... he'll be back on this site just to visit... i bet you this site is in his favorites folder, and he won't be able to delete it, not after 18,500 post....

Haha, Come to think of it, not sure if many knew AceHart well. Personally at least. What was his name? What was his gender? What did he even look like? The world may never know.

This is like 2012 becoming true. An Apocalypse.

But he was really a great person, awesome attitude, and straight forward with a touch of humor like others mentioned :p

Even though I didn't get to know him very well, I'm pretty sure he DID help me on a few occasions with World Editor, and for that I thank him again.

I cannot believe Ace is gone either. He has left before though. This is the third time to be exact. I love Ace and would FREAKING LOVE to see one of his stealth returns in the Starcraft 2 days! If you read this Ace, I Love You Man! Thanks for all your Help!!!! You will be missed my friend.

i understand how you guys feel, (actually i dont, all i know about him is what Romek told me, he is a legend) but moping wont help anyone. I suggest someone pick up the baton and take on Ace's legend. of course no one will ever be able to beat his legend but someone can try, the more people mope about it, the worst helper will get. Someone has to remain positive and take on this legend

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
