What do YOU like (and hate) about footmen games?

Various footmen games always seem to be on battle.net and never die. But from my footy experience, there are tons of different, wierd and most of them probably hacked, versions. The terrain is usually bland and boring and with all of those heroes I do not want to talk about balance in the game. There are usually so many footmen/grunts/whatever in the map that fills the whole place and it feels more like a mess to me, but somehow it is still funny and the idea behind the map is great and simple.

So my question is, what is it that you like about footmen wars, what do you hate and what do you feel is missing?

I hate the fact that 99% of them are horribly balanced in terms of heroes.
I like the fact that it's amusing to play, for some reason :D
I feel that what's missing is non-rigged heroes.

I never play them now, but from when I did:

Hate the balance issues and repetitiveness. Hate the fact that you can't issue an "order all" command. Hate the fact that there are no waypoints for spawned units.

Like the chaos.

I totally can't stand the gameplay and its lack of "upkeep." What happens in the footmen games that I have played is that if I don't gain an advantage in terms of hero strength in the beginning, I am doomed. Strong heroes become stronger with a much faster rate than weaker heroes, it's like the maxim "The rich become richer and the poor become poorer" is taking place with full might.

The strongest hero (which is decided in the first several levels) dominates everybody else's heroes and gains more experience than them. As a result, other players have trouble leveling up, whereas the guy with the most powerful hero becomes ever stronger and stronger.

This totally kills the pleasure of the map in my opinion. I am absolutely sick of such maps where being first brings bonuses and not burdens. They are noob-intolerant, and, worse, become hopeless for the losing player after the beginning part of the game, when we know who will win. Imagine mission 4 of the Blood Elf campaign of TFT (the Aeon-y one, where two teams try to drag Illidan's cell to their bases) with the night elves not getting spawn reduction, but spawn INCREASE when Illidan closes in to their base. I feel an urge to hit the mapmakers of such maps (I played a version of Battle Tanks which had this issue, I hated it).

the balance issue can easily be overcome with teamwork. When teammates leave you lose the chance to entangle and chain stun a tauren cheifan. Which sucks.
I also hate heroes with transmute.
I buy 2 shamans when my heroes a bloodmage or other hero with banish, and the alchemist kills one of them and gets cash for it
wtf!
