imput on some spells

i am going to make several autocast spells
each spell will give the target a buff that will enable it to deal more damage in various ways

a) simple bonus damage
b) adds aoe in a cone
c) adds a chain hit
d) adds aoe in a circle or splash
e) i need more ideas for extra damage that are fundamentally different from the ones i already mentioned. should not be a dot or a debuf

besides suggestions for another way to add damage, i would like some input on how i should rank those buffs. by that i mean which do you think should cost the most mana to auto cast.
i think it would be easiest to just type the letters out in order from least mana cost to greatest. for example heres what i am leaning towards with the 4 that i made up so far

a) least ( can hit max 1 person
c) second least (cause it can max dmg 3-4 units if i understand correct cause that depend on number of chain jumps :p)
b) second most (can damage up to 6-7 enemies if used correct so very good)
d) most ( can hit numerous units at once so should definently cost most some mana :D)

Edit: for e) i dont know, maybe something that created an explosion on the Target dealing 50% damager to nearby enemies? =P

thanks for replying

the idea you suggested seems interesting but seems similar to a normal splash aoe...

the ranks depend on how powerful i make them
so maybe i should just stick to asking about other ways to add damage
