Former New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath can’t believe that his former team actually traded for quarterback Tim Tebow.
“I’m just sorry that I can’t agree with this situation. I think it’s just a publicity stunt. I can’t go with it. I think it’s wrong,” Namath told 1050 ESPN Radio on Wednesday, per NFL.com. “I don’t think they know what they’re doing over there.”

On one hand, Namath doesn't see how things are in the Jets locker room. They don't realize how bad it is and that a good guy like Tebow might be the answer to those problems. Furthermore, he might be the answer to the problem of Sanchez being a lazy prick. If Sanchez wants to stay starting, he's going to have to give a damn and maybe now with a more famous [and worse, what irony!] QB on the bench, WAITING to get on the field, maybe he will.
On the other hand, it's Joe Namath.
How do you argue with Joe Namath talking about football?
