Unit "Hiding"

I need a way to make a unit only seeable by the owner of the unit. I would do this with invisibility but I don't want the hero to seem invisible. Is there any way to change the invisibility so hero doesn't change or any other way to do this? Also, there's another unit on top of this unit that players DO need to see.
