Howdy
I recently had my Gaming CPU's Hard Drive burn out and decided its finally time to replace it and upgrade after having it for ~5 years. (Everything i tried and was recommended in my previous thread didn't work )
I have finished with most of my parts on what to buy, but I have halted on http://www.newegg.coma few products, and need your advice! I am not a
'rich' guy this time around on buying parts, so I need to take caution and not over-do the total price.
Any recommendations, suggestions, comments, feedback or just about anything is welcome here ^^
A few notices: I will not SLI/Crossfire // Overclock.
Lets begin!
Motherboard: - None selected for the moment
I've seen the EVGA 750i Motherboard but thought $170 for it was a tad too much to spend for me. So I am somewhat clueless still. I have found a few, but I cannot confirm whats the best to buy.
I was looking around and these looked okay:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121314
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128347
I don't want to spend over ~$125 for a motherboard Unless its a great bargain.
RAM:
$25x2 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227139
It is hard to tell if ($33x2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034 was better.
I also found the ($66x2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231152, but these are a lot more, even though the speed is faster, is it worth it? How much faster/noticeable are these?
PROCESSORS:
$200 - Duo Core (This is 3GHz, 2 cores, Wolfdale, and a newer product) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037&Tpk=19-115-037
$190 - Quad Core (This is 2.4Ghz, 4 cores) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017
What processor is better? I am a gamer, but this came out to be a hard pick for me. My dad & brother recommends the Quad core, but I think the Duo core is better. Ideas?
GRAPHICS CARD:
$170 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121253
The ATI drivers are what make me hesitant to buying this, but the $40 cheaper seems nice.
$210 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130348
Oooh.. NVidia drivers...
$200 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130336
Oooh... 1GB Video RAM...
They're all great, but what one is the best? They're all better at something, but what one is the best bang for the buck and isn't a massive hassle?
Thanks!
I have had problems giving people rep in previous posts, so this time it is different on my saying.
If you post here and help, I'll award you rep IF I CAN GIVE IT TO YOU!
