Historically, we've beaten Germany more times than they've beaten us, so we're certainly capable of winning.

It just depends on whether or not out players play to their potential, or they pull off the same lousy performance as they did on the first two games. :(

Yeah, Rooney really needs to score. Lampard and Gerrard are kinda disappointing. Speechless on Heskey and Joe Cole. And Green just gave me the blues. David James isn't any better. Sigh...

Anyways, I still hope they win tonight! :)

This is just bad. Utterly appalling defensively. Everytime Germany have got away on the break, they've scored. Their man on the far side is always unmarked. This England line-up has always been one of the most overrated we've had in decades, we've had a crap start and now we're going out in spectacularly bad style.

Not that the ref has helped. He's obstructed sight lines, got in the way of the ball itself and disallowed *that* goal.

Exactly.

I think the game would've gone much further, possibly into penalties, had that goal been (correctly) allowed. It would've motivated the English players to continue playing well. Regardless, our defence was awful, and Germany deserved to win.

Argentina got owned. I don't know what the defense were doing back there, but if the Germans dribbled the ball all the way into the end, you know you got stuff going on.

Germany are running rampant over pretty much everyone. Australia were never going to offer much opposition but the way they demolished Argentina makes me think they're going to win the tournament, though I'd prefer Holland to win.

yay, loved to watch this game. also it looks like spain isnt that strong and thus beatable for germany. i also hope for the netherlands to reach the finals, that would be so great to beat oranje and win the world cup =)

I hope its Germany and Nederlands in the finals. Right now im supporting Nederlands but Germany is playing amazing. Gaan oranje vat hulle!!

Great, Brazil and Argentina are both out? I was hoping to see them in the finals. :p
As things are, it seems Germany is playing the best.
On a somewhat related note, I saw an interesting group on Facebook today. If all the facts match up, then it'd be an interesting coincidence indeed. Ignore the poor... Everything. It's Facebook after all.

BRASIL won the world cup in 1994 & 1970 (1994 + 1970 = 3964) , ARGENTINA won it in 1986 & 1978 (1986 + 1978=3964), GERMANY won it in 1974 & 1990 (1974+1990 = 3964) , And BRASIL 1962 & 2002 (1962 + 2006 = 3964), Soooo world cup Winner 2010 makes this equation ( 3964 - 2010 = 1954 ) Germany won it 1954, therefore Germany will win this years world cup

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
