I like the runes idea. I think some random events should contain random invasions that enter in from the middle area of the arena and head towards the center and split up to attack the bases, if that makes any sense.

Also, on another note, I have a hero idea you might find useful. A re-rendition of my comboist, which I've already partially implemented in a pointless map I'll probably never release (not WotU). Anyway, striking the same unit over and over increases his combo up to a point, say 5 (and it increases every level), and then, optionally, either drop back down to 0, or stay at 5 until he targets another enemy. Obviously, it's passive. Anyway, having a higher combo increases your attack speed, so your attacks become faster and more furious. However, the other three abilities rely on timing with your combos to achieve the maximum effect. The second ability would be a cross sweep that hits multiple unit around the comboist and requires, say, at least three combo hits to use. The third would be some kind of stab that strikes a unit and any units directly behind it and requires at least five combo hits. Then the ultimate would be some kind of super cool finisher move that strikes multiple units.

You should create a combo system...in fact I am making one as i type this...lol

so units can do combo attacks..

Dunno if it's intentional, but the knockback+freeze of the Frozen Spear(not sure if that's the right name, crappy memory >.<) affects magic immune units too.

The flying unit spawns (phoenix and that spirit thing).

is it just me or everyone feels that the map is a BIT laggy.
and i don't like too much flowers the terrain. btw the spells is mostly supportive.
i prefer killing abillities

well there are few to no memory leaks that I know of, and I can usually catch them

the only thing that may lag for you is the fog if u zoom in, just dont zoom in, the effect I think is neat

and what is hat about supportive magic??? rofl the arcane mage is all killing, as a re many other spells, buzz saw, the charge, blade os disability, I can go on forever, maybe try playing again

btw has anyone played online other then the ppl who I have played with??

I personally don't like the weather fog effects, simply because blizzard was dumb and relied on too many emitters for some of the effects. I mean, it's up to you if you want to remove them, but that would be one of the only things lagging, I'd think.

Really great map.
Here is my opinion of it:
1. Detailed triggering. Very detailed.
2. Nice variety of units.
3. Pretty addictive, much more than this "DotA".
4. Has nice ideas, like the runing ones.

Overall, I would rate it 10/10.
Great job. Added you a mere reputation point.
I will show it to all my friends and Battlenet pals.

no idea what caused that he, im deff gon work on a few of those bugs you showed there though

btw, since i fixed trigger/timer bugs, that is first crash I have seen

it is called a camre smoothing factor, I use a factor of 50.

btw emergensy rerelease, i tried a few more options on the optimizer and in the 3 games i played all sorts of stuff went wrong, stopped projectiles/effects, and 1 game a hero even never revived

so no more of that, use the latest new uploaded version

Combo attacks..as in there is a chance that any unit can land up to 10 hits consecutively..I am making something like this in jass...I'll tell you more on msn

I happened to play an online game recently.
Seemed to work, sort of.

Now, at some point (several actually), some text like
"<some name> has upgraded his Creeps to level X".
Looking as I might, I've no idea how he did that.

Some building that should have been owned, or, at least usable, by me but wasn't?


My poor Hero had so little mana...
Friend Frosty comes with an auto-cast ability too.
Unfortunately, I only used it once or twice, for a couple seconds.
Then quickly turned it back off, never to be seen again, for the simple reason that I needed my mana for bigger and better things.


My ultimate kept coming and going.
I can see why it "disappears" after dying, but, why is it also going away after using it once or twice?
Is there some way to keep it around for longer?

Talking about dying, the revival time seems to increase over time.
What is that time based on? Number of deaths?


Some "partner" left the game, and, for some reason, I ended up being in charge of his Hero.
Was that only me or could he have been controlled by my other remaining ally too?
If yes, why didn't said ally use him?
If not, why not?

That's also the point where you may want to consider to add a basic AI,
and some text command maybe, like "-auto" that I could type so that other Hero would walk around on its own.
Even a simple "just send him on attack-move to the other side" would already help.


I was killed a lot actually...
Well, that was to be expected, and is nothing to worry about.
However, one of the kills actually was a one hit kill, that did over 200 damage in one hit.
What happened?


Items:
Some minutes into the game, I was reminded to get some items, which I did.
Quick look into the shop and my current gold, all set.
They actually seemed to help.

However, I was buying 5 items at once.
And, I only bought one additional item about 10 minutes later.

Did I miss something there?
It's nice to have a shop and items that actually work and help without breaking game balance,
but, I also want to shop some more.
Or combine some items. (Or did I miss that too?)

Actually, given my opponent upgraded his Creeps, I assume that costs some gold?
Given I myself was rather short on money (those 6 items was all the gold I had).
How did he get all his gold?


Few people in that game went to kill some Creeps, near the middle of the map or so.
Actually, one people only did so...
I guess he knew the map though, and, therefore, actually knows what that might do, as opposed to "only" killing the lane opposition?


There's slightly too many flowers on the map :p



All in all though, some nice experience.
Recommended.
