The starcraft 2 editor has built-in protection. If you go under the File menu and click Publish, there's an option to lock your map to prevent editing.
Messing around and there has been some talk about it on other forums.
You don't have direct access and ease to edit a map like you do when you open it in the editor (at least not the way I'm doing it), but the point of locking a map is to prevent people from stealing it right? You can easily steal a map by bypassing the built in lock this way.
I'm sure there will be more threads about this topic on the bnet forums, this forum and every other Starcraft forum once the editor becomes more popular.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory

I just got to watch the video because even though I was there I was trying to work out tech problems with the chat since I was the social media guy so I was distracted but check it out guys the video is super fucking great!
