Some footmen maps aren't that bad (Custom Footmen being the only I can think of)

When you say maul, are you talking about any maul (one team, or maul wars) or just team version like Wintermaul or Warcraft Maul?

I put Wintermaul Wars TE on my list of good maps. Any one-team maul is horrible in my opinion.

After playing Legend Arena, I decided to make a thread on another forum about what things make you lose faith in humanity. Here's the relevant part of my post:

So, I was peacefully cruising on WCIII, saw a game Legend Arena, joined it. Five minute DL, DBZ image, I said what the hell and didn't leave. It started... Basically, it was a horrific screwup of the one-time popular game Angel Arena, which was originally pretty good (before nubs got their hands on it). This version, however, had the following:


* Regular terrain WITH SNOWY TREES!~
* EVIL SANTA BOSSES!
* DBZ-BASED BOSSES!
* JUST-ABOUT-EVERY-RETARDED-ANIME-CHARACTER-BASED-BOSS!
* 4K GOLD REWARDS PER EASY CREEP KILL!
* +50 DAMAGE or 500 LIFE TOMES FOR 2500 GOLD!
* ITEMS THAT ADD UP TO TEN THOUSAND TO EACH STAT, MAKE YOU IMMUNE TO MAGIC, +100000 DAMAGE, LIFE STEAL, WHATEVER ELSE YOU WANT! RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP!
* SUPPOSEDLY AWESOME-LOOKING LIGHTNING BOLTS EVERYWHERE THAT MAKE IT SEEM LIKE SOMEONE USED A LIGHTNING BRUSH TOOL!


And, to make things even better, half the people were, before long, saying 'This is a cool map, but those who played before get too big an advantage...' (in 1337).

DotA - You know.
EotA - Eve of the Apocalypse (This is in my opinion by far better than DotA although is is hardly ever played and nobody has it; so MEH to ya'll that don't have it. The new +Undead map is alrgiht i prefer the previous one with unit upgrades though)
HoSK - Hands of Sorrow Knight (This has in my opinion the best game mode & Hero creation of all games i've ever played)
Footmen Frenzy - Explains itself.
Spellz - I forget where i got this, its a nifty little mage game where you get different elements to make spells kinda like invoker invoke in DotA although there items, But its got a nice small areana and dosen't last long HAS AI, Probably the only game exempt from my following statement

I find these the most fun to play, although there best multiplayer and no fun alone =P
