Hulk3 DotA Wars (1.00)

1.00 released

I probably won't release another version until 6.60 comes out, since there are really only 1 or two other recipes I want to make (bottle perhaps)

6.60 should include a new hero or two, and some new items that might be worthwhile

It is just too imbalanced. Once I got Shiva's, they don't stand a chance -.- It is just like original one, once you get the better item/level, you own! =[

I did get people to play but :) The people I played with said:
1 said it sucked.
1 said it was really fun.

Why is it only 5 kills mode? We want morez!

  • How do you counter invisibility potion?
  • Every time you revive, the camera goes to the middle of the map? WHY?
  • Also, what is up with those weird messages?

its not supposed to be balanced....

-score ## changes the total kills (check the map info or read me)

i will check on revive issue (should not be one)

i think i compiled it in debug mode so the messages are still there, my bad

It's not really meant to be a map to play competitively I think he means? I'm probably wrong, but DotA 6.60 came out.

Also, Storm Spirit's Remnant is meant to be instant. How come when I cast it I can't animation cancel afterwards? Also, it is kinda hard to level up early.

Another thing is that flying wyvern which sells stuff, you can get vision of it if it comes near, giving you sight, (from like 1500 range away) and this can reveal enemy heroes.

Anyway, looks good. Useful for people who wants to rip loads of stuff from DotA (lolx).
Gameplay is rather good, but the creeps never really do get much stronger, how long does it take for them to get, say, level 6?

I used a different leap formula for the jump (aceharts actually), Icefrogs was retarded, and wasn't actually a parabola, it was a triangle shape - I think mine looks much better - you can always edit the leap height if you want

its more of a learning experience sort of map, which is playable

remnant uses same timings as in dota (per 6.59b)
you have vision of the wyvern always, its designed that way so you know where to find him

i don't think so, I think it looks terrible
creeps level per the equation UnitLevel*GetRandomInt(1,2)*GetRandomInt(1,2) (or something to that effect), up to level 10 - everytime they die
 
No, if you press stop as soon as you click Remnant, the effect still happens.
If you press stop as you as you click in this one, nothing happens.

And there is no Mana Flare bolt continously playing on the remnant like in DotA? A transparent ghost panda looks funny.
 
havent tried yet, but i opened with world editor, and saw some bad terrain..

Maybe its just my computer, or has the terrain at 250.00, 1400.00, -128 f*cked up?

Im going to try it tomorrow, for some reason i dont wanna play wc3 today..
So i havent seen terrain ingame..
 
there is a section in the river I as unable to fix (something to do with the water) - I never claimed to be great at terraining

Which I don't know how to do necessarily, but I need some kind of a hobby and figuring out how older things worked is the only shit that really interests me. Well soldering and restoration is fun too, but no one is bringing me new stuff to fix and restore, so it's mostly old shit, and I LOVE OG Xbox so much. I want to make sure it can function as long as possible, until someone can effectively emulate it at least. I have like 15 I was going to fix over the winter and didn't get to.

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks. There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
