Prolly depends on speed mostly, so if you play it at same speed each time, you'll get something pretty close to the same each time. But it may re-randomize cover saves, so could be interesting...
Will perform optimally on a normal Starcraft game, replayed at same speed as played. Paintball and RPGs (with small number units) is probably where most variation will occur. Hmm... wonder if it rerandomizes triggers, too? Try replaying a SC Deathmatch game, could get some interesting changes from original, assuming it doesn't character freeze (when units end up somewhere they weren't in the original, and don't get any additional orders because of that) too quickly.
