Amish Country Casserole

This Amish Country Casserole recipe makes an old fashioned ground beef casserole the Amish way.

Ingredients:
  • 12 oz medium egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can tomato soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can unsalted cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp onion flakes
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 9 x 13 baking pan
  • Pot for boiling
  • Strainer for pasta
  • Large skillet
  • Large mixing bowl
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 F (175 C)
  • Lightly grease the 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and set it aside
  • Cook and drain the egg noodles according to the package instructions and set them aside
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s no longer pink and drain any excess fat
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion flakes then mix until well combined
  • Add the cooked ground beef and egg noodles to the soup mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated
  • Transfer the noodle mixture to the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly
  • Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top
  • Bake the casserole, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it’s heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly
  • Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and serve it
