If I want to make a SFX such as, say, thunderclap larger how would I go about doing that? I notice some SFX will scale depending on the unit it is attached to, but I haven't been able to find a way to customize the size myself.
I usually made some untouched special effects by using this:
Open object editor,
Copy Locust from Undead- Special,
set the name to 'Effectname'
set the Art- model, collision, scaling value, and color.
Then shadow to none.
You can even set the flying height, facing, etc. later on with triggers.
then add 'Unit - Create unit facing angle' on point.
and 'Unit - Add expiration timer' for the length of the effect
Don't forget to add a new trigger;
Trigger:
Trigger
Events
Unit - A unit Dies
Conditions
Unit Type Comparison - Dying unit type equal to 'Effectname'
Actions
Unit - Remove Dying unit
Edit: Don't forget to set the attacks enabled to none, and you should create the unit for Neutral Passive.
Or you could import Vex's dummy model, which is invisible, but yet has attachment points. It also has different animations, which changes its rotation angle.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
I will be AFK for a couple of days you guys hold down the fort while I am gone. I will be checking in on my phone but that will severly limit me. Be back saturday!
