> I think the blue is meant to be an underwater effect.
I realised.
And, it still looks far too blue.

Yes, it's a underwater effect -_-

DVD, your cathedral is too small, I remembered some guy posting a epic one. You know the chapel can stand up in a tall area and then he uses the book of medivh to recite a speech or something. Use staircases for that.

Torches are disapproving, it'll be better if they were hanged from the wall.

1st picture seems alright but your trees are overkill.

2nd picture's ramps seem really choppy not smooth enough, I don't even understand how the houses were able to stand there.

3rd picture needs more... shurbs and vines and such. Using a custom model to make up for forests is not generally a good idea.

4th picture the barrack looks like nobody can ever get out from it as they might bang on the altar.

It looks way too crowded.

That's all I think i can comment on it

I don't think it is spammed with doodads. I think that it is just the right amount to make it seem like lush undergrowth.

It is only the proportion of everything in that terrain that bothers me, otherwise it looks very nice.

Yes, and it actually looked like it was underwater.

@ Blockrose:
Very nice. As mentioned before, the proportions are a bit off. The plants at the back look huge.

wraithseeker, why post your terrains here if you don't want criticism? And no, it doesn't look underwater. It's really under-decorated, plain, and kinda boring. The moon rays fail.

Furthermore, I can give a PHYSICAL explanation why it fails. At the level of depth required to create a water color that pure and deep blue, it would require you to be in clear waters (for the blue color rather than a greenish blue) and VERY VERY deep. You wouldn't be able to see light from the surface that far down, at least not unless you looked directly straight up.

I never said I didn't want criticism.

How is it plain? Maybe I didn't capture the right scene and atmosphere because the camera was buggy and I couldn't take a WE screenshots because I'm not using fog but cinematic filters for the effect and the units are generated randomly in game.

It looks very nice but you spammed too much grass and the flowers seemed too cramped together.

Nice camera angle.
Agree, the flower at the front does look strange.

Very good, it catches my attention immediately.

Some things are:
  • The tiles aren't that great.
  • The grass is too big and doesn't fit.
  • Just flat terrain?
  • There is some black areas of the background you might want to get rid of.

Is it off Zelda?

Yea it is based of Zelda. The black spots, I think its because of map size so Ill increase the map size. Ill make the terrain more bumpy and make the grass not as tall. Thanks for comments.

Magic Carpet

Not a lot of terrain variation, you can see the edge of the map. I see you're trying to go for a desert barren feeling, but the cactus are too close to eachother. It's also too hilly, try instead of making it hilly, make it seem like there are dunes. Also, the shadow underneath the "carpet" has light in it.

Looks good but there's too many cactus, too little rocks and no barren trees?
Desert's with trees? Unless it's a palm tree.

Terrain variation? That's the only tile I could find that suits fit. Edges, I'll fix that up.... define sanddune? I'll google it now anyway. The shadows are hard to do.

EDIT: http://images.google.com.au/imgres?...?q=define:+sand+dune&hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&um=1

That is a sand dune? If so, how do you suggest on making that?
