The World of Warcraft - The Twisting Nether

World of Warcraft - The Twisting Nether Is a map created by Me!
I know you rather see an own lore map, but the popularity of those maps isnt that great as wow maps.

What is this map about?

Well its a map based on World of Warcraft with my own twist.
Its a map made for 5/10 players and you will venture in the world of The Twisting Nether with a character/class.

Lore
This is about the homeworld of the Burning Legion.
You will face many strong demons, even our good friends Sargeras and Kil'jaeden.
This is ment to be a map that follows afther WoTLK
The Burning Legion is trying to revive their master, you must stop them.
You will need 9/11 key fragments from all dungeons to open the chamer.


Class Info
Well the wow classes are taken over, shaman warrior, they use the same skills.
Each Hero has 6 skills (2 Passive, 4 active).

It hasn't got an unique gameplay how ever.


Features:
- Healing, Spel Power and Attack power system:
This includes: Spells have certain values, e.g. Holy Light will heal for 200.
When the Paladin equips a "healing bonus" item it will heal for 250.
Same goes for attack power
- Tank/Healers are vital to this map.
- Save and Load (you will be able to save your hero!)
- You will see the amount of damage you done.
- Tier Sets for every class
- Camera will be changed to character view instead of the wc3 camera.
- Casting Bars
- Unique Scripted Boss fights
- Item Recipes
- In Combat System (afther the fight the bosses will regenerate Health, same goes for caster with mana so they don't have to take mana breaks)
- Legendary Weapons
- 9/11 dungeons with their own difficulties and gear recuirements
- lvl 20 heroes
- Armor system modified
- Strenght Agility and Intelect wont play a big role.
- PvP Mode
- Vendors
- Rep Factions


Additional Info
The First Release will contain the first 3 dungeons which will introduce the players into the game, this will be fairly easy. Each new Big Version will contain a new dungeon.
I do this so that people won't have the, omg the map is always the same effect + they will have time to gear up for the next dungeon, afther dungeon 4 the map will turn hardcore and you will need skill to play it.
This way noobs will still have a chance playing the game when they see it, and hardcore players will still feel interested.
There will be some legendary items to collect which will take long ^^, collecting items from bosses etc mobs.
And ofc when you defeat sargeras you get the, Dungeon Master Title or something.


Need a mapping partner
I am in a need of a mapping partner.
Recuirements:
- Need to know how to trigger spells/ trigger boss fights (Gui or jass, doesnt matter)
- Make propper abilities/tooltips
- Terrain propper

I can do it by myself (i have the skills) but I dont got all the time of the world ^^.

Feedback
Is always welcome, bad or good I will accept it and use it to improve my map.
The people make the map good, not the creator ;).
Critism is very good since it will only make the map better.

So anything you guys would suggest for this map? Systems Spells etc
Ill put up a class database later with skills etc.
Current classes are:
  • Fury War
  • Prot War
  • Feral Tank Druid
  • Pala Tank
  • Resto Druid
  • Holy Priest
  • Resto Shaman
  • Combat Rogue
  • Destro/afflic Lock
  • Arcane/Frost Mage
  • Marks Hunter
I will also introduces classes like Shadow Priests, Death Knights and Demon Hunters (made up class) later in the game.

(From first release with 3 dungeons)

I just started this a week ago.
Altough I work quick.
The hard part of this map is abilities and items the rest is just easy done :p

half of the features are a "must have" for an RPG, and i wloud like to hear moore about the dungeons.(i don't play many rpg maps so you've got my attention)

Dungeons wont be like just tank and spank.

Boss fights will be more difficult then just casting shadow bolts etc.
The first dungeons will be easy but soon you will face bosses that: summon creeps, teleport and fire from a distance, enable fire traps that deal an x amount of damage, you will have to kill certain obelisks to make the boss vunrable, you will have to interupt his spells, dispell his buffs, kill creeps while they heal the boss, your teammates will be teleported during the fights etc
You will need a smart brain to do the bosses, they will be difficult, but not impossible.
Creeps will be less difficult than bosses, still will they pose a thread, so wiping on thrash could be common.
Also i might add cometes that will random summon mobs or deal dmg to your party.

Still if you got any other ideas it would be nice to post it.

Oh, crap. I thought it was a map based on the game oblivion when I saw the header. You might want to change that beacuse it can make some people dissapointed:(

But it sounds like a nice map. I just hope that you pull it of and have good terrain, beacuse I personally think that most wow maps have really really crappy terrain:( Not that wow itself have a really great terrain, but atleast that is achievable in wc3:thup:

Dungeon 1: The Servants Lair
An easy tank and spank dungeon to learn the game basics.

Boss 1: Doomlord Salnazar
--------------------------------

Health: 10000
Mana: 2000
Attack: 100 + cleave
Skills: Cleave(25%), Rain of fire(100 damage per wave (10 waves), Warstomp(400 aoe damage), banish (10 seconds)
(your heroes have around 100 damage per spell at this lvl / 700-1000 health each, just so you got an idea)

Tactics: Tank and Spank and keep every1 healed, stay out of the aoe rain of fire.

Boss 2: Ballanor (infernal)
----------------------------------

Health: 3500
Mana: 0
Attack: 75
Skills: passive imolation (25 damage each second), a totem (5000 health) grants a 90% magic/melee reduction, 3 fire spawns (2000 health 50 attack) with spirit link, decreases damage with 50% and shares it.

Tactics: Kill totems and firespawn then nuke boss, endurance fight.


Boss 3: The Ravager
----------------------------

Health: 20000
Mana: 4000
Attack: 125
Skills: Enrage: 40% damage increase for 10 seconds, manaburn (200 mana - 400 damage - 20 sec cd), spikes (return 10% damage increases armor with 20), Resistance skin (reduces magic spells damage with 30%)

Tactics: Try to interupt mana burn as it will take 2 seconds to cast. try to heal the tank good when enrages, tank and spank

Boss 4: Xavian Hellcaller

Health: 15000
Mana: 3000
Attack: None
Skills: Fel Fire (randomly attacks a player with 300 damage fel bolts that also deal 120 damage over 8 seconds - 2 sec cast time), Legions Doom (a rain of infernals that will stun players for 2 seconds and deal 150 aoe damage on impact - wont spawn infernal), Sap (stuns a player for 7 seconds and deals 80 damage each second)

Tactics: Interupt the Fel Fire, Spread out when he uses legion of doom, heal the sapped player.

Difficulty of dungeon 1: Easy but you need teamwork or you are a goner.
Requirements: 2-3 healers, 2 melee, 3 casters, 2 tanks
Gear: None
Rewards: Standard Dungeon 1/2 set, Random Blue Items

Quality:
Blue: Basic
Green: Rare
Purple: Epic
Brown: Tier Set
Orange: Legendary

Any comments about boss tactics?

Ill put up a class database up in a few hours with every detail.

Uhmm.. when i saw your Features - I said like Wow It looks like a duplicate of mine, that im making =D.

Well, goodluck on this project, if its gonna be as cool as it says im playing it 24/7 =D!
