Hey, can you guys help me out? I would really like to know how I import the vJASS stuff into my map I've failed to find any downloads or any guides on how to set up vJASS >.< I'm wondering if it's just in the NewGen WE, but that doesn't work correctly for me.
Ahh, so I just make the triggers with NewGen WE? Then it'll work? I thought I had to like, import some code into some MPQ file
Can I make the triggers in vJASS with NewGen WE, then save it and open it in normal WE and work there like normal?
And you pretty much answered what I wanted
Ahh okay, well, I can't test maps with NewGen for some reason, which makes it a pain in the ass to test stuff... Dunno how to fix it, Would be AWESOME in bold and italic if you could help me there And it's because I have a mate who does the terrain and units, who doesn't use NewGen
Nothing That's the problem I'm trying a reinstallation atm, and will do a dual installation then, with 1.21b for map making, and 1.24b as my normal one
But, wont it be harder to make maps for 1.24b using version 1.21b?
Edit: @ HellCraft; What is Reinventing the Craft? I saw it, and it were disabled I think >.< But as I said above, I'm reinstalling now
>I don't know why on earth you are going on about 1.21 or w/e -.-.
Grimoire (the forgotten awesomeness).
>I can't test maps with NewGen
I can't believe no one has said this yet. You must save the map immediately before testing each time, and yeah, you must have Reinventing the Craft disabled.
Yeah yeah, it IS a given I am doing that, but currently I can't test a map through NewGen which runs perfectly fine if I run it through a normally started Frozen Throne, or through normal WE. But the empty maps run fine now. It's the demo map from Romek's Creating a passive spell in JASS tutorial
It just opens TFT and shows me the main menu, and I can't start it if I go to single player and start it there. Only in a normally started WE or TFT... :S
Before each testing of the map hit the 'save' button and then the 'test' one.
If you modify the map and press directly the 'test' button, it won't work (JassHelper won't run and convert your vJass to normal code). You have to manually save every time exactly before u test.
Well, it places comments around the code that look like [ljass]//TESH.alwaysfold = 0[/ljass] or something like that. Another one for scroll position. Since it does that, it changed the map in some way, and so the map needs resaving.
No idea. But the other comment still stays. Unless you modify your actual TESH, you're going to have to save the map every time you scroll through code.
But the //TESH.alwaysfold = 0 is a static comment? I mean, it doesn't move around like the scroll one would? So if you had that function disabled, then it wouldn't put in that scroll comment, and you wouldn't need to recompile the map? :O
Anyways, it's not a big problem
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
