Played again now, with a version that wasn't bugged

From what I gathered, the other players liked the first Elimination tournament better. They didn't like the removal of c4's most. One guy also seem to think the mini gun is imba.

They never got add-ons (I think it was becuase they though they costed money, and were to busy buying other things)

I'll C4 soon as well as Gas Grenade.
Anything else you/they thoguht ET1 lacked?

Ha. In crossroads, the first team to score wins. You score, then buy a booster, run and grab their flag, and boost up into one of the holes on the cliffs. From there, you just jump your way off the map.

I'll block off the terrain better then.

I found out how to win hands down no matter what map you are on:

Phase Pistol + Scope + Shock Grenades


You don't need to be a genius to figure that one out.

First off, I'd like to point out that most people don't think this game is very good compared to ET 1.

A major bug: when the game auto-selects a stage, the game bugs and causes a server split.

Hmm you must be playing quite an old version.
I do recall there being a bug with this a while back, but its all fixed now.

Phase Pistol has been nerfed a bit in newer versions, a fe wmore updates & I'll release it here.

Fulla... the looks are sweet in this game. However, the gameplay sorta' dissapointed me. :( I expected a bit more but... the stuff you took out and the stuff you added didn't seem to fill it back in.

Maybe it's somewhere in the thread but why'd you take out Flamethrower and C-4's? I love C-4's! I'm amazing at them! :D And there was a bug where the map name just stayed on the screen and we couldn't see any tooltips. I think I saved a replay... if I can get a screenshot, I'll put it here.

As a rating compared to ET1 mixed with my expectations, I'd give this a 3.5/5. It's nicer and all, but sometimes the classics are good. :thup: Waiting for further updates.

Oh, well I didn't remove/take anything out.
Its just I had to make the map from scratch so everything was remade.

Everything will get re-added, eventually just need time.
Remember ET was worked on for like a year, this has only had 4 weeks so far.
I'll working as hard as I can thou, so stay tuned for plenty more to come :p

Are you going to add more maps? Maybe some of the classics like TT. :thup:

Ok another update:

Changelog v1.1

  • NEW CONTENT
    - New Arena, Outpost 2 has been added in, replacing Plunge.
    - New Add On, Imbued Shells has been added.
    - Rebalance feature implemented.
    - Rematch feature implemented
  • IMPROVEMENTS
    - Facing Worlds, Lava 2 & Crossroads have all been improved slightly.
    - Tooltip adjustments, Shrapnel Gun & Acid Gun now display their damage in more descriptive terms.
    - Game messages, all players names are now colored in their teams color & all TeamA/TeamB msges are also now colored.
    - Removed Tips.
    - Game Over changed to Time Left on multiboard.
  • BALANCE
    - Laser, damage down from 40>35, cooldown up from 2.0>2.5
    - Minigun, damage down from 12>10
    - Submachine Gun, damage down from 8>6
    - Shrapnel Gun, damage down from 40>30 & shards down 12>10
    - Acid Gun, damage down from 25+5 per sec>20+4 per sec
    - Phase Pistol, damage down from 40>25, cooldown up from 1.5>2.0
    - Gold income/bounty reworked. You now gain:
    - 1 gold every 4 seconds
    - 1 gold for a kill, more if target had a bounty
    - 10 gold for scoring
    - 5 gold for returning a flag.
    - The numerical value after your name [X] is your bounty value.
    - Your bounty increases whenever you kill, score or return a flag.
    - Starting Gold has also been reduced back to 50.
    - Powerups nerfed, i.e. Shield & Speed.
    - They now take 30 seconds to spawn after a game has started & 60 seconds upto from 30 to respawn.
    - Grenade AoE reduced from 250 to 225.
  • BUGS
    - Jump delay fixed.
    - Shock grenade will now correctly disable someone with a speed powerup.
    - Shotgun no longer knocksback barricades.
    - Helm now reduces damage from grenades as well.

Explanation of the reasons why Elim 2. is not nearly as popular as Elim 1.5


1. The C4s were taken out.
2. The bouncers make movement easier, therefore losing potential space for a Player to launch down grenades.
3. It's kind of like launching a PERFECT map and expecting it to beat DotA. DotA at this time, is unbeatable in popularity, even though another map might have PERFECT everything, it just came too late.

Otherwise, Elimination 2 is a good game. Good luck

IMO most the guns should be the same as in 1#, as far as speed, cooldown, bounce, ect. goes. Last time I played all the guns seemed fast. I had regenerator on, not speed or anything.

IMBA:
Pulse with a lot of gloves, speed and range.
Goo gun, same as Pulse
Sniper with a lot of damage, range speed, and gloves.

Nothing was taken out, it just hasn't been made/added in yet (Map was made from scratch).

Oh, yea I'm not trying to take on Dota, just making a map I can regularly host online, pwn & have fun.
I like to host in on the forums to get feedback & suggestions thou.

The speeds are the same, although you can use the Scope Add On to enhance it.

How can you have lots of gloves, speed & range?

Are your referring to an older ver, where you could buy multiple Add Ons?
Now you can only have 1.
