adding weapons to units

Is there a way to add a weapon to a unit, like a critter?

That can only be done in the model itself. Attachment points to arms or extremities results in the weapon permanently being in the position it's in when the model's made (Sticks straight up or to the side or something)

I don't see where you can attach a weapon to the model for a critter.

well I found attachment points but how do you add one for a weapon?
