there is no reason for that.

you can guess that it did this :
- 1. meteorite coming on ground (doesn't hit the boy)
- 2. meteorite explodes into smaller parts (sort of small shrapnels)
- 3. those smaller parts are propelled away
- 4. 1 random shrapnel hits 'accidently' the boy (at lower speed than 30000mph, of course)

If a meteorite went even near him shouldn't his hand be pretty much.. ripped off from the body? Just wondering. Also it could be that he fakes it and then asked a friend of his to do some markings 'left by the meteorite'. I stil don't believe this. If he got hit by a meteorite, there should be wayyyy more damage. Liar I say.

That's possible. It's not like anyone could tell if an object moving at 30k mph hit the ground or him first.

People have survives falls over 1 mile up. Its quite possible.

I doubt it his his hand directly as implied though. He probably was walking normal and it flew down gnash his hand on the way.
