Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

What I'm loving about this game is that you could throw on a silencer, cold blooded perk and ninja pro perk and be almost invisible to the vast majority of idiots who play this game, despite running around like a fool.

I've come up behind a group of three people and kill the first two, and the third just totally ignores me. Either they assume their team members got sniped, or they just don't notice unless there is a red dot on their radar to rely on.

My favourite class for offensive playing is:

Main: UMP45 with Silencer
Secondary: PP2000 with Silencer
Equipment: Tactical Insertion (Possible flanking ftw?)
Special Grenade: Stun Grenades (Quicker than flash)

Perk 1: Marathon Pro (Quickly come up behind them)
Perk 2: Cold Blooded Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro (Damn heartbeat sensors )
Death Streak: Final Stand

Other than that, all I have to say is that the iron sights on the Tar-21 are actually really nice, one of the few guns I don't throw a red dot sight on (Although as you can see I don't for the class above).

Soooo, now due to all the f**king lame ass glitches on the Xbox version, I'm not even playing until they get these damn bugs fixed. First the javelin glitch, then unlimited supply creates, then the god of them all, private game glitch? Screw that, fix them and I'll start playing again...

I tried to use the UMP-45, and I just don't like the level of recoil. I prefer the P90 (though I hated it on CoD4). I also like the Iron sights on the Tar-21, I actually don't like the red dot sight it's got.

I've also fallen in love with the throwing knife. It takes some getting used to, but I've scored some awesome kills with it.

Haven't seen the iron sight on the TAR-21 (since I've never bothered to use it), but the iron sight on the ACR is <3. How much better could it get than a little cross on your target

Halo_king, have you tried the ACR or M4A1 with silencer (although ACR would be a tad better IMO) for that profile? They lose a reasonable amount of damage, but make up for it in accuracy and range

Also, got 2 AC130's from 2 consecutive Care Packages today, on Wasteland :D Wasn't a good day to be the enemy team

I had a crap 1 and a half hours on it tonight. Our internet connection is adequate at best and the lag killed it for the first 30 minutes... then the highlight of the rest is that I managed to shoot down 3 Harriers and 2 helicopters in 1 match (gotta love the Stingers).
Overall, not my best night.

Anybody have MW2 on the PS3 here?
Post PSNs. Would be nice to play with some of you (Well.. mostly those I know on TH).

If anyone plays on PC, add me on steam, sqrage. We can have a little 1v1. :)

That is one awesome knife kill, seen if before though :p

I've found that combining ordinary knife kills with throwing knives can rack up the streak remarkably quickly. Using Marathon pro and Cold Blooded to sneak behind a group of them, you can knife the guy at the back, use your throwing knife on the next guy then run and knife the last one. Throwing knife is pretty much instant so if you don't have tactical knife (like me) then you don't have to wait to swing it again, you can just throw one.

Just wanted to post that I finally hit 67 and unlocked the Akimbo Model 1887. They have been patched down so much but they are still so satisfying to kill with.

I will not prestige for a while.. maybe once I get REALLY bored but I doubt I'd play as much as I did this first month I got it. I really do wonder how people who legitimately prestige 3-9 times can do it. The only reason I had to keep leveling up was for the 1887s and maybe the AK 47.

You don't need aimbot, you can just replace one of your local files.

Aimbot. When I see someone with a max prestiege in the lobby I just leave.

Yes, prestige hack on the Consoles are pretty popular. But I meant those who actually level a couple prestiges by hand.
PS3 and the Xbox 360 don't have aimbots yet so I'm pretty happy.

Too bad so many of us are spread out amongst the three platforms. Would have been fun to get a party going.

I have contemplated doing the prestige hack JUST for the extra custom class slots but I am far too lazy to take the risk and work to do it. I've seen the guides and ehh..

Aimbot. When I see someone with a max prestiege in the lobby I just leave.

I know people who have done it a few times, but they also play for a minimum of like five hours a night.

I'm pretty close to maxing it, it's just about one week left. After that, boredom.

Edit: Got Rank 8 last night, yay... Just realized when I logged on.

I'm becoming tempted to Prestige. I feel like all the xp I'm earning playing games is going to waste. But I love my guns and camos haha :( decisions decisions..

Oh btw, anybody play the Battlefield BC 2 beta demo? Its on the xbox right now. Waiting for it to release on the PS3 but it looks like a game I'd actually get.

Or even third party. Like if you don't have an original one in a functional condition, you cannot play this game properly. Like yeah the keyboard mods exist, but I think those are BARELY functional
  • Varine Varine:
And since almost all of my programming experience is with defunct shit now, I figure my best place is helping preserve legacy stuff. Which I don't know how to do necessarily, but I need some kind of a hobby and figuring out how older things worked is the only shit that really interests me. Well soldering and restoration is fun too, but no one is bringing me new stuff to fix and restore, so it's mostly old shit, and I LOVE OG Xbox so much. I want to make sure it can function as long as possible, until someone can effectively emulate it at least. I have like 15 I was going to fix over the winter and didn't get to.

I also have a couple OG gameboys, but idk if I can do that without like, manufacturing new parts that no one makes anymore and I can't do that right now

Currently in the middle of getting the probate process going. We're doing the informal probate process.

  • Varine Varine:
A probate is usually done with a will, yes? If so I am sorry for your loss

We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.
  • Varine Varine:
We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks. There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

  • Varine Varine:
But he also loved our calamari, which is another thing I hate but it sells super well so I can't change it. There was one day he came in and was asking me how to make it, because he tried to at home once in the off season when we stop running it and he really wanted it lol
  • Varine Varine:
I think he's one of the only people I've made recipes for for free because he really wanted a broccoli cheddar, and it was like dude I don't have a recipe, it's just whatever I have, but here, this is how you do it
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think he ever figured out how to do the calamari in a pan though, like idk how to do that either. He was afraid of the at home deep fryers though and it's like yeah, that's fair, I am too
  • Varine Varine:
He was just such a sweet old man, we had two servers pregnant and they held a baby shower together, he was soooooo fucking excited to get to see a baby. Unfortunately he died a month or so before they were born
  • The Helper The Helper:
So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....

    Forum running super slow again
  • Ghan Ghan:
Not really clear from the stats as to what is causing the slowness.
  • Ghan Ghan:
We get a lot of guest traffic so it may just be the load is getting too high and not from any particular source.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Looks like the server is maxed out on CPU.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Oh it looks like a lot of the traffic is Silkroad Forums. That domain isn't protected by Cloudflare.
  • Ghan Ghan:
But the old Silkroad site is still on its own server. I just had a test site set up on this server for it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I just disabled that test site. Let's see if that helps the load.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Looks much better already.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I had actually forgot about the Silkroad site. I had asked
  • The Helper The Helper:
SD Ryoko about it and he said the couple of people left on there really like it, that was a few years ago, maybe I should check back
  • jonas jonas:
I guess when you're getting old, and the last day of soup season draws near, you start wondering
  • jonas jonas:
will I make it to the start of the next season? or was this the last time I'll ever have my favorite dish?
