Catalog: Access Denied

Is there a reason why "access is denied" for some changes that are attempted with the catalog function? Is there a way around this?

Ex:

set effect myeffect ValidatorArray[0] for player 1 to "myValidator"

I can't find much documentation on this online.

There are certain fields that are read only and cannot be set. Sounds like the validator array on an effect is one of them. There may be another way of doing what you are trying to achieve but I'll need to more info on what you are actually trying to do.

I just need to know my options. My map will be using a variety of abilities that can be changed and upgraded by the player. It gets extremely time consuming when you have an array of options for an ability; a catalog fixes that need. Instead of making two abilities--one that you start with, and one that you upgrade to--a catalog can do that in one trigger for each player. I like this a lot!
