.dat files - What do they do, how do you use them?

Sorry, no ICQ in computer labs, and still wouldn't be able to fit it on a floppy. Thanks for the offer though.

btw, got my dad to upload EmeraldEdit to his website in segments, downloaded those today. Will see if it works tonight.

Well, EmeraldEdit would work just fine... but I need CarbonLib 1.1 or later, and I've just got 1.0.4 I'll get that from my dad next, I guess.
