Do Dialogs Pause the Game?

Do dialogs pause the game when playing multiplayer? Just a quick question, I've never tested it but I intend on using dialogs for something.

No, they don't. During multiplayer the game continues when a dialog is showing. Units are still able to move and timers still count down, at least, so it doesn't seem paused.
