Does SetDayNightModels() cause desync?

I was wondering if I can use SetDayNightModels() for local player since I don't have means to test it at the moment.

No idea. What does that method do, exactly? Generally, if it's something that doesn't affect the gameplay itself, it won't desync.

It allows to set models for ingame lightning (you can tell the difference between lightning durning day and night and it's the only thing it was ever used in vanilla wc), so it should be fine, but I'm looking for someone who could answer the question with certainity.

It doesn't desync. I tested it with another map maker a long time ago. Basically:

if GetLocalPlayer() == Player(0) then
    call SetDayNightModels("", "")
endif

Something along those lines. You can input whatever string you want and replace the Player(0) with the player you want to switch it for.
