Set Edoras_Gate = (Current life of Gate of Edoras (Vertical) 0299 <gen>)
is about its actual hitpoints while this line:

is setting its percentage hitpoints.
if your gate got 1000 hitpoints and you save 1000 as udg_Edoras_Gate and thence set the hitpoints in % to udg_Edoras_Gate it would be 1000% which is round down to 100%.
just change the first trigger to save the percentage hitpoints of the gate in the variable or the second trigger to set the actual hitpoints instead of the percentage.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them.
