Heaven VS Hell - More hero guides

I saw 1)ark_Knight's post and made this because you won't always get the two heroes he mentioned.

Forward:
Credit goes to 1)ark_Knight for pretty much everything in this thread. He is the reason I found this website as well as the reason I am writing this now. If you are going to give me +rep, be generous and give him some too. His guide can be found here: here

Note: I have only completed Kael's guide, more will come.
On with the guide!

Background
Heaven vs Hell is a knockoff of Angel Arena. It was edited by Elprede, who gave himself credit in "The Chosen One" - the best hero in the map. If you want to see the map it originated from, look for an angel arena. You can still find some people making them.

Heaven vs Hell and angel arena are different in few ways.
Most noticable, Heaven vs Hell is more clean and looks better. Heaven vs Hells second difference is item mixing. Item mixing is what HvH is based on.
You can find 1)ark_Knight's complete list of items here

Heaven vs Hell is usually not a team game! Every game has its noobs and pros. Your job is to fight the pros and educate the noobs. Don't give them items, give them knowledge. You can give a man a fish and he will come back to beg you for more every day, or you can teach him how to fish and he can provide for himself.

Hosting a Heaven vs Hell
Hosting a Heaven vs Hell isn't anything hard. Due to game imbalanced, it is always good to do the following:
-Close red/green. These colors can type in "goldrush" for unlimited gold. People don't like cheats and they will leave. Result: 1v1 match. Not fun.
-Declare rules. Most hosts say "no chosen/nature" These rules are good, but it is usually good to include the following:
  1. No blinking out of duels
  2. No base hopping
  3. No calling out furion or archimonde really early
These rules are optional, but it helps the game run more smoothly and efficiently. Why didn't I include "no item stealing"? I believe that once you die and drop an item, it is no longer yours. Some people have conflicting views so include this one as you want.

Hot or Not?
Your success in HvH really depends on what hero you choose when you start off. There are a few good heroes in HvH; the rest suck. Here's a list of the "Hot" heroes for both sides in no particular order.

Heaven:
-Maiev
-Arthur
-Kael
-Atlas
-Mountain King
Runners Up:
-Panda
-Medivh

Hell:
-Hydran
-Sylvanas
-Crypt Lord
-Vampire
-Dahm
Runners Up:
-Tauren Chieftan
-Armageddon

Always try to get one of the "Hot" heroes. If you aren't fast enough, get a runner up. The runners up aren't very good, but they are way better than some of the other ones.

Items to Stay Away From
The list can be found here. Again, credit goes to 1)ark_Knight.

Generic Game Start
This is the basic strategy for all heroes unless specified.
For your first skill, choose stats. This will give you 100 mana (enough to use your first skill) by level 2. When you DO hit level 2, get an ACTIVE skill that does damage. Most active skills from the hero lists I gave will kill level 1 and 5 creeps in one shot, and leave level 10's near death. Get an AoE over a single target skill.

NEVER fight in the middle of the map, ever! This is just a waste of time that you could be using to creep. Anyone who is smart enough wont die, there are 2 fountains right next to them...

Heaven Guides:

Kael
-Get feedback as your first skill, not stats. The damage really adds up. As a general rule, try to stay away from orb effects until you have items to make up for the lost damage.
-Kill things and gamble, stay away from the lizard creeps for now.
-When you reach level 2, keep an eye on Mountain King if he is on your team, otherwise keep an eye on atlas when he hits 3. These are the levels when they have enough mana to use their AoE stomps. Most of the time, the player will try to slip away unnoticed and solo the spider creeps. Stay with them for the exp as you will need it.
-Keep an eye on the Gate Keeper and Key Keeper. If your team mate is killing one, hang around for the exp, but don't steal any items without asking.
-Gamble when you get the money, and level up to 30, this is where the guide begins for kael. He can't do too much before he is level 30 that is worth noting.
-Summon your phoenix and look at the dragon creeps. Usually they have been left untouched. Killing them will give you a lot of money. If the Key/Gate keepers haven't been killed yet, give them a visit and get an angel item from them.
-Now we are going to kill a monk. Go to one of the monk gates on your side and wait. Send your phoenix ahead to kill him, he will hardly touch them. Now send the phoenix up to Illadin's area. Move close to the circle, but don't call out Furion yet.
-After a few minutes, he will be near death. When he is about to die, call out furion, but keep your mouse clicked on your portrait. Everyone's screen will move to center while yours doesn't. Go through the circle and claim your ring.
-Send phoenix to the upper left corner of map into that pit area. Now drop any valuables in base and go to the mixing circle with his ring. Yay, you are now Illidan. Pick up your stuff and move out. Your first item on the agenda is to kill the key keeper. When he is dead, he will warp up to your phoenix. Your phoenix will kill him, a lot. THIS WILL AUTO LEVEL YOU RIGHT TO 30!!!
-From this point on, you will have a seemingly endless supply of money as long as you regularly kill the key keeper.
-From this point on, there is almost no need for gamble/risk. Just use the secret shop.
-Move to the gate of a monk, your goal isn't to kill him this time, as he has thorns. Thorns will destroy you unless you already have spell immunity. Run passed him into the circle. You are now at the shop. For now, I will assume you have absolutely no items.
-Pick up these items: All 4 angels, A celestial power, and a Nature stone. Buy a sword from your shop, and drop ice/fire in your base so the sword doesn't mix with them. Make a dagger and pick up your angels. Hunt for an orb of lightning. Make angel lightning.
-IMPORTANT!!! Here is the get to the shop quickly skill. It requires a dagger. Use the teleporter outside of your base, and then go into the lower left or lower right portals. Go to where death/holy spirit usually are if they are dead. Look To your side, you should see a circle of power. Blink into it and you are now at the shop, and your angels are mixed together.
-Look at 1)ark_Knight's item list, and get the necessary items for a RuneStone. If it is a no-chosen game, think in advance and start picking up items for Gauntlets of Creria. If it is a chosen-allowed game, go right for RuneStone. Usually you are the only with a runestone right now because you have your phoenix making money for you while you buy items from the shop.

-If chosen is allowed, get him. I'll say it now. You win. Congrats.

-If chosen is not allowed, proceed to get Gauntlets of Creria.
-IMPORTANT NOTE Gauntlets of Creria DON'T grant you spell immunity, so go up to the shop and buy: Angel Lightning, Angel Ice, Celestial Power, Necklace of Spell Immunity, and Nature stone.
-Look for Claws of Attack and make Illadins blade. Risk until you get a Bladebane armor or until the shop is out of risks. If you get one, gamble for a crown of kings or get one near your phoenix. The pit should be full of items. Make a Crown of Ner'zhul. Then make a Frostmourne.
-If you didn't get a bladebane armor, make a FrostMourne. Then risk some more and make Crown of Ner'zhul.
-At this point, the game is pretty much yours. Kill Furion and Archimonde to claim their hearts. Get the staff/gauntlets. DO NOT MAKE THEIR ESSECNES! It is a waste of +1000 stats.
-Use the windwalk in Creria to hunt down and kill the opposing team.
-Get other items like Golden Halberd/Legend Crown/Lord of the Ring.

Atlas/Mountain King
I have combined these two heroes into one guide because they are essentially the same hero.
-If atlas, get aura first, if MK, get stats first.
-When you have 100 mana, learn your stomp ability. Buy a manastone and try to slip away from the group and hit the spider dot. Best results if alone. Remember that a fountain of HP isn't far away, and the manastone gives you enough mana for 2 stomps. This should kill the whole dot.
-Proceed to gamble and kill things. Don't waste your money on risk.
-When you have 1000 mana, use avatar and kill both of the keepers. If you have 2 open slots in your inventory, go north and wait for the gate to open. Go in and kill the two "Gaurdians" for their nature stones. Make angel items that you didn't get from the Keepers. If you were lucky and got different ones, treat yourself to an early angel power.
-Go to the south area (make sure you are avatared) and kill the two guardians there for the nature stones as well. Make an angel fire with one of them, and use the other to make a bloodstone.
-At this point, you should kill Death if you haven't already and SAVE HIS ESSENCE.
-Kill creeps away from the monk gates until you are almost ready to avatar. You don't need full mana for this, but it helps. Kill creeps near a monk gate while you wait for it to open. When it does, go in and use avatar to kill the monk. Reap its angel item or dagger.
-Once you have a dagger made/dropped, you should be really close to having a runestone. Kill all the creeps in the main map that you can and then change to Death. Use avatar to do this faster.
-Blink behind base and Death/Decay illidan. NOTE he will doom root you, so don't Death/Decay until he does so. It won't hurt you but it will cancel your ultimate. Blink up. If chosen is allowed, just kill the ring as it has no use to you. You can also give it to a team mate but this will slow you down if someone is keeping up pace. If he is not allowed, take his ring for safe keeping, but don't change into him yet.
-Hide the ring somewhere, most people will steal it if you ask them not to take it.
-Go to the shop using the get to the shop quick technique. This is explained in my FAQ post.
-Buy any necessary items to get runestone. If you have extra slots, think ahead to the materials needed for Gaunts of Creria.
-Complete Gaunts of Creria.
-Get Illadins blade as well.
-If archimonde hasn't been summoned to the middle yet, blink up to him and Death/Decay him. In the best-case-scenario, his heart and the soul gem will drop. Change into archimonde if the soul gem drops. If it doesn't, make his gauntlets with the heart. Wait for Death/Decay and kill Furion. Take his heart and make his staff.
-Get illadin if now.
-You should have just 2 slots left. Get the necessary items for Frostmourne (least item slot using item) and get it if no one has already.
-Kill the top left dragon/bottom right dragon. If they drop their gaunts, take them.
-You now have everything you can possibly want. Game over.

This is from 1)ark_Knight's list. Credit for the list goes to him.
I have edited the list to show the items to stay away from.

Items to Stay Away From

•Frost Wyrm Skull Sheild- Angel Ice + Sheild
•Excalibur- Sword + Angel Power
•Magma Gauntlets- Angel Fire + Gauntlets of Atlas + Celestial Power
•Gauntlets of the Land- Angel Pain + Gauntlets of Atlas
•Hermes’s Gloves- Angel Ice + Gloves of Haste + Celestial Power
•Killmaim- Angel ice + Axe
•Searing Blade- Angel fire + Sword
•Serathil- Angel Fire + Axe
•Shield of Honor- Angel Fire + Shield
•Shield of Legend- Angel Power + shield
•Shield of Nature- Shield of Legend + Nature stone + Celestial power
•Shield of Rainbow- Shield of Nature + Angels (angel F,I,P,L)

Most of the items on here are here because they waste items that are more valuable in other mixes.

Exceptions:
-Shield of Rainbow: Although this item is a waste of angel items that could be used to make 2 equivalent items, get this as a last resort. When I say this, I mean... All the other mixes are taken.
-Herme's Gloves and Magma Gauntlets: It is a good +500 stats, but you are most likely to get it early on for the early stat boost. Don't. The items are more valuable for other mixes. These are also good last resort items if you already have spell immunity. Remember to focus on long term. These items may seem good "now" but "later" when someone beat you to Gauntlets of Creria, you are pretty much screwed.

FAQ Section

FAQ post:
This post is designated to answering common. If you have asked a question, look here for the answer.

How do I summon the Dragons/Monks to the middle?
Credit for this question goes to 1)ark_Knight, this question was asked on his thread.
Requirements:
-Lots of hit points, if you are summoning dragons to the middle, they will stack up on you and kill you if you don't have some good items already.
-Khelens dagger of escape, your "summoning" tool
Instructions:
Anyways, to "summon" them, run passed them as if going to the circle of power. Blink over it to the other side and they should chase you. When they try to close in they will walk into the circle of power and be moved by triggers to the center of the map. It is easier to do with a unit that has long range to keep their attention. Tyrael is a prime example. It is very easy to do this with Elprede if the game is still going.

What is your Get to the Shop Quick Technique?
Requirements:
-Furion must be summoned.
-Khelens dagger of escape.
Instructions:
-Go to the spot where you kill death/holy spirit. Look to your right/left respectively. You should see a circle of power. Blink into it. You are now at the shop. Simple! Even if you don't stand a chance against Illadin, you can still complete mixes this way by avoiding the dangers of Furion/Archimonde/Demonic Satan if they are in the middle.
How it works:
-Basically, it is assumed that when you go through a circle behind a monk/dragon, you have killed it. By triggers, it warps you to the middle lightning bolt. If furion is summoned, it warps you to the shop.
