How to delete the fire doodad with a trigger

I'm trying to make a village that has been burned down and needs to be rebuilt, the plan is that a hero comes with a bucket of water and puts the fire out, then comes with stone and wood and rebuilds the a building in the village. So what i want is for the hero to enter the region i have made around the "Barn scorched" doodad with the bucket of water and the "Fire" doodad disappear, then when they return with wood and stone the "Barn scorched" doodad be replaced with an ordinary "Barn" doodad. if anybody could help me with triggers i would appreciate it, thanks :)

What about dummy units?

You can make a dummy, and give the dummy the model "doodads" fire?
And with the dummys
Trigger:
  • Unit - Remove -- from the game


What about that?

Have a region that contains the Barn Scorched and Fire doodads. When a unit enters the region, check if it has the item Bucket of Water, and if so, Pick all the Fire doodads and remove them. Remove the Barn Scorched, and create a Barn at the center of the region, which should ideally have the Barn Scorched in the same place as well.
