Is their any way of adding a requirement to an item. So a hero has the item in it's possesion, but can't use it, without making two versions of the item.

You have 2 version of the item one is the one with no effects and the other with effects then you replace the item when hero's Lvl/attribute/Skill lvl is high enough with the real item using triggers.

yea, your right, but I was hoping their would be an easier solution for the problem by using tech tree requirements or something similar.

if it's an item ability i think u can add it a tech tree requirement - try checking out the ability of the item

wierd it works with the abilitys of the druid (i think it was rejuvenation)
but i think it was with an upgrade requirement - u could make that so that u upgrade when u receive the required item

Yea, but i want the requirement to be turned of and on, and you can't unresearch an upgrade i thought?

hmm no but i think there are also requirements for certain buildings no?
if there is u could try that and make dummy building for that case

Already tried that, but I fixed it now, i'm using two sets of items now, a dummy item and a real one. Turns out adding them wasn't such a fuss. Thx for the help though.
