Items with mana cost?

For some reason, I'm getting this weird bug where mana cost is not displayed in an items description.

I've tried numerous different abilities per item, but still no good.
What am I missing here?

Your item has several abilities and the one you cast is not the first one?

Alternatively, try a better item, Gloves of Spell Mastery for example. (Very random example, but I use it all the time for some reason )

Aha found it, its the "Item can be sold to Merchants" field. How lame :/
Have to change the "Drop on shop to sell" text to something else then I guess.
