Launcher Problem

Hi. ive got XP if thats important. but i put like a really long screen name on for counter strike and when I hit ok for it to accept my screen name it closed CS. and i cant get back in. everytime i try a pop-up show's up saying "CounterStrike launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close" is there anything i can do besides reInstillation???

Can you get into HL? try to redo your name in there...if you think that's the problem.

Maybe just reinstall CS 1.1.1.5 (i think that's the version)

How do I HL. Im not verry good with this sorta stuff im a afraid. so If you could walk me through it that would be great.

You could also try going to your SIERRA\Half-Life\cstrike directory, opening config.cfg with a text editor, and changing your name in there.
