I am trying to push a footer to the bottom part of the page, by using "margin-top: auto" in CSS, however, it does not push it down.

Can someone explain a possible solution to my problem?

That will never work (on complex layouts), at least if your goal is to be truly cross-browser. Blame IE6. Most solutions I've seen are relying on JavaScript to correct "bad" behaviour.

But take a look at this one.

Javascript, you say? Can you give me some hints, or better yet, a possible solution code?
