Network not working

Ok i and trying to have a LAN game with a near by computer but when we host a game it doesn't join, it just freezes for a while and then says it can not join, we can have networks for every other game but not this.
We have IPX and the same version, 1.21a but it doesn't seem to want to join to each others games.
We can see each others games but they don't join like on battle.net.

Hosting in LANS is similar to bnet in the fact that firewalls can still block incoming connections. Try opening a port in yur firewall, or just turning it off
