Reggie Fils-Aime revealed Nintendo's new console and its controller live on stage at the company's E3 press conference today. The new system is known as Wii U, and the controller features a large 6.2 inch touchscreen onto which games can be projected. You won't need to give up your gameplay when someone else comes into the room and wants to watch TV.

The new controller also features motion control in the form of an accelerometer and gyroscope, a camera, a sensor strip to work with the Wii Remote, a microphone, rumble, stereo speakers and a stylus. The "second screen" use of the controller presents the opportunity to have elements of a game projected onto the floor, such as your ball's lie in a golf game. It also, in case you were worried, features two analog sticks and traditional buttons, including analog triggers and shoulder buttons.

Existing Wii peripherals will wirelessly connect with the new controller, allowing those self-conscious about their Wii Fit results to view them in privacy.

Not only that, but the new controller can also be used as a web browser and even a magnifying device for on-screen web pages. And, as you might expect from past iterations of controllers with screens in them such as the Dreamcast VMU, it can also be used to display additional game information during play.

Luckily the article says the unit supports older Wii Controllers.

Nonetheless, you get a tablet that you can draw on, and play games.

That tablet controller is awesome! The fact that it can connect to the net makes it as handy as the Ipad for my daughters. Its worth it just for that.

Hmmm. I hope the screen is durable. The Wii is mostly marketted at kids and casual gamers who seem to take less care of their equipment. If its your standard durability i see alot of broken screens in the future. Also, is anyone else as curious about the helpers private life as i am? haha, this site is off the hook.

Again I can see the usual team of helpers saying "not my cup of tea" before actually knowing what they're talking about.

Looks like Google fixed whatever mistake that made the recipes on the site go crazy and we are no longer trending towards a recipe site lol - I don't care though because it motivated me to spend alot of time on the site improving it and at least now the content people are looking at is not stupid and embarrassing like it was when I first got back into this like 5 years ago.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Plus - I have a pretty bad ass recipe collection now! That section of the site is 10 thousand times better than it was before

We now have a web designer at my job. A legit talented professional! I am going to get him to redesign the site theme. It is time.

I got one more day of community service and then I'm free from this nonsense! I polished a cop car today for a funeral or something I guess
  • Varine Varine:
They also were digging threw old shit at the sheriff's office and I tried to get them to give me the old electronic stuff, but they said no. They can't give it to people because they might use it to impersonate a cop or break into their network or some shit? idk but it was a shame to see them take a whole bunch of radios and shit to get shredded and landfilled

How come you're so into recipes lately? Never saw this much interest in this topic in the old days of TH.net
  • Monovertex Monovertex:
Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
  • The Helper The Helper:
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences
