Photoshop: How to rotate layers/images?

A general question, how do you rotate layers placed on images a few degrees left/right.

Here is an example image, where its obviously been done:

select the move tool (V)

ad then at the top should be some check boxes.

Check 'show transform tool'

Scroll over to the corner then go off of it so its a two headed arrow that is curved like a bracket (() then click and drag.

 

[Uberplayer]

Ctrl + T, grab some corner, start rotating. You can hold shift to make it rotate 45 degrees.. try it.
