Possible way to create local lan game without port forwarding?

Hello, I would like to know if there was a way I can create a Local lan network room for my friends and I to play frozen throne if we are all connected to the same router? I've heard of people suggesting port forwarding however this isn't much of an option for us because his mom wouldn't want us to touch the router because we "might break it".
Any suggestions?

you have a small program called GArena, it simulates LAN by creating a virtual port so you can play on "LAN" with ppl that are on the other half of the world look for some garena tutorials on youtube

Thanks for the feedback, I've used garena in the past and although its not a bad program I want to simply play with my friend and no one else.

If it is a local game then you would not need to portforward. Just ensure that you are both on the same network and workgroup.

Even using Garena, you can just close off excess slots and kick other people from the game.

I've run into a problem in the past where I've got a friend that lived in a neighboring town and we couldn't play LAN games. I'll check out gArena, thanks .

I tried Hamachi last night when my friend came over and it worked fluently. This morning we wanted to play again so we opened up hamachi from my house and his house, however now it doesn't work. I was wondering, can it be because we have different IPs? Any suggestions?
