@Master: Yah know....I'm getting the feeling that people aren't reading this thread. We've had round about 5 people feedback. 2 of them joined the team. Why do you reckon that is? Too many pages? Maybe it's time we started looking at making another thread.

anyways I think this thread is good at the moment as we are getting the job done and it has all our original stuff in it.

It would still be nice to see many many many more people post on here about their comments. :)

Well things are moving on quickly here at the grandstand on Project: Orbitos. I retract the announcement I said before as we have found a good system to use for projectiles. Far better than the clumsy ones we were making.

I'd like to give out mad props to Master_Maste who has stayed with me for all this time. I really appreciate your hard work and that you've put up with my semi-perfectionism to get this far with me on PO. I'm really excited by the possibilities of PO as never before. And for those of you who have doubts about the base moving...we have a working system for that now too as well. So Project: Orbitos will REALLY be Orbitos soon!

Hmmm... with a game this uniqe, do you think blizzard will put it in one of the updates as a blizzard scenario map?

I doubt it. I think Blizzard aren't that interested in WC3 except to keep BNet going.

well, from what i noticed, they recently added "bomber command" i didnt notice it untill around a cupple moneths ago, so im guessing it was recently added (not when blizzard added extram candy wat, blizzardtower def, skibis td, azures td, ect.) so i think they are still looking at the maps and such

what would be really good is if you actually went on msn for a bit:p , anyways 3k views is great :D and so is the damage on the weapons.

Is the damage on weapons in the current version I have? (version 20)

Wow its been awhile since i posted in here.

Anyways... a quick catch up post. I've made a UI for Project Orbitos. It's gonna needs some mods but I'm mostly happy with it and the idea of it. Obviously it's not finished yet, but what do you guys think about it?

Has anyone played Star Control or The Ur-Quan Masters? I just realised my mod idea is quite similar to the melee mode of that game. So you could think of Project Orbitos as Star Control with some additions in the WC3 engine.

Whats your skills? We need more people with good GUI or Jass skills as most of what we do is in Jass now.

Skills needed:
Must know how to memory leak remove (basics... I consider it a must in any map nowdays)
Should know coordinates instead of point locations.
At least above average GUI, or basic - intermediate Jass knowledge.

We don't need a terrainer. :) Can you help with anything?

Funny you say that. I'm not happy with it yet. There's too many overlapping bits which shuoldnt overlap. Makes the text hard to see. I'm thinking about what I should do for the top bit now too...

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
