Big Mac Sloppy Joes
This recipe offers a playful and satisfying twist on the traditional Sloppy Joe by fusioning a Big Mac's flavor with the comfort and heartiness of a homemade meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Large skillet
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons French dressing
- 4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 Tablespoon finely minced white onion
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Small bowl
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft
- Drain any excess fat
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar into the beef mixture
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly
- Prepare the special sauce by mixing mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, minced onion, white vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until well combined
- Toast the hamburger buns and start assembling the Sloppy Joes
- Spread a generous amount of special sauce on the bottom buns, then top with the beef mixture, shredded lettuce, pickles, and cheddar cheese
- Cap with the top buns and serve immediately
