Remove player from leaderboard not working

I want to remove players who left the game
or lost a specific unit from the leaderboard, but
"remove player from leaderboard" trigger isn't working.

Is it happening only because my opponents are computers?
I tried removing myself (local player) from leaderboard
but didn't work

Outline of my trigger:
Event: any unit dies
Conditions:unit type of triggering unit == Perdition Turret
Actions:
(1) IF status of player(Owner of triggering unit) == playing
(2) THEN remove player(Owner of trigger unit) from Leaderboard

I think that action only works if you use another action called something like "add player to leaderboard".

Not sure what your leaderboard triggers look like, but if you have a periodic trigger that updates the leaderboard: try adding a condtion checking "Status of Player" == Playing.
