It's hard to operate a moving vehicle when you're made of felt, yet one speed demon Muppet appears to be doing just that while eluding German highway cameras.
An Audi TT with British license plates has been clocked speeding multiple times on roads around the Bavarian city of Bayreuth. Since German traffic cameras are set up to photograph left-hand-drive cars and the Audi is a British-style right-hand-drive model, all of the photos the police have collected are of a large Muppet -- apparently the enthusiastic percussionist Animal -- sitting in the passenger-side seat.
German police have a license plate number on the car, but according to the law, they need clear evidence of who was driving the vehicle when it was speeding. They have released photos of the Muppet, and are asking the public to help them nab Animal's speeding accomplice.
If he's found to be manually stimulating his passenger while at the wheel, there may be a few more charges. Considering where you have to put your hand in those things, we're thinking public indecency.
