Shamans: (quest like thingies)
Somewhere in the map there are some Shamans that have incredible powers.
When you talk to one he/she is transported to a place where all shamans gather.
If you go to that place, your unit(s) stats are enchanced, and the more shamans you've gathered, the better they'll become. You have the enchancements unitl you die or a set timer expires.
Shamans can also fuse your units to pernament stronger ones by giving gold to them.

In an EDIT to that, it means that the player that finds the most Shamans will also have stronger units

What do you think?

Sounds like balance trouble.

And doesn't really fit in with the general idea of the map, to fight for and on the stairs.


There's a good part there though, it would mean there's some use for the map borders or corners.
Currently, there's nothing going on there.
Which is good, but might change.

However, the change would have to be something other than completely overpowered units...

Uh-huh.

Still we could make them transparrent, invulnerable in the stairs.
Then if you them bring kind of a special item, they join

Not overpowered.
You can make a shaman for each stat improvement.
