Taunt- most useless ability in Wc3 history ?

I just had idea to use ability Taunt for ordering units to go one point (Basically Black Hole ability.) But Taunt dosn' t order units to attack caster if you quickly or at any time give new order. It just depressed me as usual. Isn' t there abilities in normal Warcraft what allows to order enemy units at point and then they ignore any command until time expires or effect stops ?
How useful is Taunt ability anyway in melee games if players could reorder their units in a second ? Or it is used only at neutral creeps (Even Neutral Hostile creeps start attacking attacker who attacked him from behind ignoring Taunt...) ?

It is yet only useful in melee games because players tend to just mass-order units and let them fight (which isn't a right tactic imo)

Anyways, I think there is a trigger somewhere that explains how to prevent units from being ordered anything.

If you have a constant stream of taunts it can freeze or seriously disrupt enemies.You could edit taunt to make it like immolation, you start it and it keeps using mana, but enemies keep getting redirected to you.by doing this with 4 guys in a group at the same time you could get some weird results.

I am almost mastered Object Editor and ability makeing with it. I could do so that Taunt is used 10 times or even 100 maybe per second but sad side is that Taunt dosn't disable control of player, example is when I use Taunt and at same time order unit to move or attack it ignores Taunt. I have tested it belive me. Taunt only turns enemy units to caster and you can reorder unit anytime even 0.01 sec after Taunt is casted or I am wrong if it would work like that even a 0.2 sec "stun with move" would be great.
I didn' t tell that I like to do abilities in object editor (I coud do that ability with triggers but it wouldn' t be interesting anymore.). I tested Taunt while reordering my unit and I didn' t saw "uncontrol" at all so I think it dosn' t take user control away for even a small time.

Taunt does not work on Comp players under AI (along with any issue orders). I have to change them to neutral hostile for them to work.

My version causes players to completely lose control of their units near the target for the rest of the game (player -> neutral hostile). You can do this if you are desperate.

lol, i'll plan to recreate my taunt ability to overcome this problem hehehe <3

perhaps i can use dextreme trigger to test it out :)

edit: daxtreme, your trigger only works 1 time, so if there are new units coming within range
they are not affected. the spell have to be recasted

but i dunno what wil happen if the spell keep on recasting every 0.5 seconds, wil that
overload the trigger? since it cant delete them before the wait expiry time for xx seconds?

This is intended ayumilove. My spell is a copy of Berserker Call in DotA, without the armor. At least I think ;)

And no it isn't MUI. I just made it short and fast for the original poster!

Thanks for fast replys, case closed. I desided to make random castable Ice Nova (Known from DotA what is like targetable Chain Lighting with Frost Wyrm missile art but mine is just casted like Taunt and it randomly bounces in 650 AoE of casted point. Made in Object Editor it took me 7 hours to get result what I wanted. Atleast one hero finished again for my map.).
