1. Why is there a difference between ranges in the object editor and in triggers? I have a spell with 150 AoE, and a trigger picks every unit in 150 range of the target point of the spell. Still the farthest away units are not picked, even though the spells targeting image clearly covers them.

2. How can I set the player camera move more smoothly?

For the first question, I believe the center point of the circle made in the triggers is shifted slightly from the center point of the circle of the ability. In a similar situation, I would find an AoE ability that adds a buff to all affected units. Then run a periodic trigger to check for the buff on units, and go from there.

For the second question, I believe that the camera should be slow down, change in angle and distance. (Or you may slow the game speed when you use the camera)

I'm not sure how "Smooth" do you want though.

2. I think I know what you mean. Like the camera is sliding a little bit? If so, you need to try this:
Trigger:
  • Camera - Change camera smoothing factor to 3.00

You can try changing the factors.
