Upgrading allied towers

I'm just wondering if it's possible to have a building that can research upgrades to upgrade allied towers. And if it's possible, can anyone show me how to do it?

What you could do is just use a simple to trigger to detect when the upgrade is researched and then set the level of that upgrade for other players. That should achieve what you want.
