'walk' animation

HELP - 'walk' animation

Is there a trick to starting a unit's walk or movement animation?

I am able to start the attack animation in GUI, but not walk.

Anyone able to help please?

Usually the walk animation is simply called "walk".
If you, in World Editor, place the desired unit on the map with the Unit Palette, and you should see an animated version of the picked unit, in the left side of the WE. Here you can click the arrows right and left to change animation, and (this is the bonus), see the animation names!
That's what I do when I want to use a specific animation for a unit. Check it's name, then use it.

call SetUnitAnimationIndex(<unit>,<Integer>)

I think that's the correct the name of the function, but you should probably get someone else to verify it. Just fiddle around with the integers until you get the right animation.


However, entering the string "walk" in the "Animation - Play unit animation" action should work. If not, use that line of custom script.
