So the Islam principles of allowing a woman to marry are:
- Physically fit
- Emotionally ready
- Mentally ready
- Socially acceptable
And if an 8-year old fulfills those criteria, it should be fine for her to get married/have sex, no?

Anyway, the title comes from here, a strongly one-sided opinion but still one I still find worthy of consideration.

yeah, well... I still think the arguments are poor. the principles sound good, but who's going to see to it that they are followed? who'll define when she's ready or not?

in theory, they're perfectly right, I give them that. but in actuality, that's not how it works.
