Why does this doesn't work?

The debug msg does not show.

Nope.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that EventAdder isn't initialized, which would stop the thread.

I made it off a scope and it worked.

Does the scope have Init as initializer.
Is, as uberfoop mentioned, EventAdder initialized?
Can we see the code where EventAdder is declared?

It was the problem. It was inside a library called
