Well, I think it depends on your preferences.
Taverns are informative, small and do their job very well.
Big hero selection arenas which make the hero turn around nicely with scrolling text everywhere about the heroes background and spells look nice, but take up a lot of space, and are difficult to make.
Dialogs and chat commands are ugly and informative. ^_^
I like this idea.
If you have seen the fullscreen inventory can you make a hero selection like that and when you selects the unit creates a multiboard there you can read about the hero.
But I was looking around the forums for suggestions on this topics.
There is another way, Those systems where u press arrow keys and another hero pops up at your camera position, and then u press up-arrow or something to choose your hero.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
